This verse holds two promises that I am clinging to each and every day.
First, it is a promise that God is working in my life.
Not only has he working in my life, though, He is doing a GOOD work!
His work in my life is to bring me to Himself and to make me like my savior.
God has a finished picture of the person He has created me to be!
I know that I am far, very, very far from that picture right now, but I know that he is working, and I take comfort in the second promise that can be found right here in Philippians 1:6.
God will finish what he has started!
That’s right, he’s not finished with me yet, but he will finished.
He will bring his good work in me to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
He will continue working in me, molding me and making me into the person he has created me to be until the day that I meet Jesus Christ.
And on that day…that glorious, beautiful day, the good work that he is doing in me will be complete.
There is such joy in knowing that I will be like Him, fully and completely like Him.
I can get so discouraged when I take a good hard look at myself.
I fall so short of what I want to be…of what I should be…I am selfish, critical, I have doubts and worries. I struggle and fail so many times.
But I have peace and complete assurance in trusting that God in working in me, he is doing a good work in me that will be complete one day.
God is working in your life as well.
God is working in you through your walk with Him.
God is working in you through your relationships with others.
God is working in you through each trial and hardship that you face.
God is working in your life.
He is doing a good work in you.
His good work in your will be complete one day.
Each day you are growing more and more into the person that he has uniquely created you to be.
And on the day that you meet Jesus, His work in you will reach perfect completion.
Let’s thank Him and praise Him for his work in us as we dwell on the words of Philippians 1:6 today.
Remember to check back each day this month for something new to dwell on from God’s word!

I love His Word. This is a reminder to be patient because He’s not yet done with me!
