On Tuesday while the girls and Will were in their American Heritage Girls and Trail Life meetings, Jenny and I went on a date to McDonald’s.
She had an ice cream in a cup and I had a white chocolate mocha.
As I sat there with her, I marveled at what a sweet fun loving girl she is.
All too often I go through my days exasperated with her and the interruptions she brings to our school day.
I don’t stop to appreciate her and the gift that she is.
She looked up from her ice cream and said to me, “Mommy, I hope we having a good night.”
Bless her sweet heart!
I assured her that, yes, we were indeed having a good night together.
The I looked over at her and told her that I loved her so much.
Her immediate response was, “And God loves me too! Because God loved us and sent His son!”
That, my friends, is the greatest blessing of my week.
To know that my little girl knows that God loves her and to see her so secure in His love is a blessing that I cherish and hold close to my heart.
Here are some of the other blessings I am counting this week…
Superheroes in their Sunday best
Bright blue skies on cold days
My girl practicing for her first presentation
Ice Cream dates with Jenny
“Willy Billy”
Children’s ministry workers who love my children so well
What blessings are you counting this week?
