A week ago, I was awarded the “Blog of Distinction” by a fellow blogger and wonderful writer that I have come to admire so very much. This award is given to those that “bless others”.
I was so honored to be given this award. I am humbled and honored each and every time someone takes the time to read this blog of mine. I am humbled and honored by every comment that is made. I am honored when someone, a fellow blogger, thinks enough of this place to link back to it or to a post or even to put it up on their blogroll. And I am especially honored when I am given such a thoughtful award.
I looked back and saw that the actual date of the award was July 1. I was super busy getting ready for my parents visit and then they came and I really haven’t been on here enough to properly respond. I have felt horrible for my lack of timeliness in this.
So, Angela of Becoming Me, I am sincerely apologizing right now. Thank you for this beautifully thoughtful award. I am truly honored that you considered me. And am blessed so much by your words that I am a “sweet writer whose love for her family and Jesus shines in every post”. It is my prayer that my love for my precious family and my Savior would shine through my many ramblings.
This is a pass it on award, so I will kindly pass it along to the following bloggers:
My husband, Chaplain Andrews. I think I’ll pass along every award I receive to him. Because I love him. Because he is my best friend. Because I miss him so very much. Because you need to read what he writes. Because he gives such an honest, fresh perspective of the life of a deployed soldier. Because he is following his calling. Because he has a passion and love for writing. Because he does “bless others”. I could go on and on. Do you really need me to?
To my favorite digital scrapbook designer, Beth Nixon. I was so sad when she announced that she was leaving Digital Scrapbook Place because I have enjoyed her work so much. But then I was pleasantly surprised when I began reading her blog. She is choosing to be happy and gives away lots and lots of freebies!
And to a fellow Army Chaplain’s Wife, Military Chaplain’s Wife. She writes with tons of honesty. It is apparent that she is serving right along with her husband and offering him her full support as he ministers to soldiers. And the love she has for her family, friends, and so many around her is amazing!
