I have found a great way to talk about the Christmas story throughout Advent with my children.
I have found a wonderful site that has tons of materials for Bible lessons. In the unit on the Christmas story, there are coloring pages for every day in December leading up to Christmas. These pages include a Bible verse to read and talk about.
DLTK’s Crafts for Kids has printable versions of the Christmas story written for children and loads of crafts to do throughout this time as well.
It is run by a mom of two girls and includes a variety of children’s crafts and coloring pages for any time of the year.
I have become a huge fan of it and use it daily as I look for projects and fun things to do with my girls.
This week, in addition to coloring our daily advent page, we did a Santa Claus craft where they all pasted cotton balls on a printed image of Santa to make his beard. They are so proud of their creations!
If you’re looking for a great place to find Christmas projects to work on with your children, I would encourage you to visit DLTK’s Crafts for Kids. It’s working for me!

I think all my girls would love doing this…I’m printing it for today. Thanks

She’s also got a home-schooling oriented site called firstschool. It and the coloring pages, and Bible, and writing, and….(there’s tons!!) are all linked to each other…you just have to look for the sister sites on the sidebar. The more you click around, the more you find – it’s awesome!

I look online for Advent activities and that site is great. I was just looking at it yesterday and printing some things off!
