I told you to expect lots of Christmas layouts from me!
I’m just so excited about all of the Christmas kits that are being released…so much awesomeness!!!
For this page I used a new kit by Amanda Yi designs, who I am a creative team member for.
As I have said before, pocket scrapbooking is great for getting photos of an event on a page. They don’t have to be only for “project life”.
For this layout, I combined several shots of our family that were taken last Christmas along with some journaling cards.
I have a picture of each of the kids and their Christmas gifts, our tree laden with gifts (we are so abundantly blessed!), and a picture of me wrapping Christmas gifts late into the night on Christmas Eve.
It is my goal this year to begin wrapping gifts much earlier in the season…it seems that I am pulling all nighters wrapping gifts every year.
My favorite on this layout has to be the deer head on the Merry Christmas card…I don’t know how or why those became trendy, but I love them!

So…tell me.
How do you handle wrapping Christmas gifts?
Do you wrap them as you buy them or do you pull all nighters to get everything wrapped at the last minute like me?

I wrap presents in spurts. We have several gatherings with different sides of extended family, so I try to use matching papers for the different gatherings so it makes it simpler to get the presents together from under the tree and into the car. Usually, I am still wrapping presents after Christmas, because at least one and sometimes two of these family celebrations happen AFTER Christmas. 🙂 My kids are getting bigger and better at guessing what is in boxes, so I usually wrap their presents on Christmas Eve. We wrap everything in the stocking in special paper (since it’s from Santa) so that was always tricky hiding that paper, and those things couldn’t be wrapped ahead of time. I am usually up pretty late wrapping on Christmas Eve no matter what. 😉

That’s so smart to use matching paper for different gatherings!! I’ve tried to do a different wrapping paper for each person in our family before and that has worked well. Last year, I just wanted to use up papers, though, so that went out the window. I don’t wrap Santa’s stuff in the stocking at all…that saves a bit. 🙂
