I read once that it takes doing something consistently twenty-one times before it becomes a habit.
One of the most exciting results of the Reading the Bible in 90 Days Challenge for me is the habit it is creating. I mean, if doing something consistently for 21 days creates a habit, just think 90 days will do!
For the past eleven days, I got up out of my nice comfortable bed, turned the alarm off, and walked downstairs to my very favorite room in our house….the reading room that’s located inside our sun room.
I sat in my favorite chair each morning and read twelve pages each day from God’s Word.
Those twelve pages over the last eleven days have taken me from Genesis 1 to Numbers 21.
I’m excited about the things that I am learning.
I’m excited about the order and peace that has entered my days.
I’m excited about growing and stretching in my faith.
But more than anything I’m excited about the daily habit that is developing in my life.
How is your reading going? Are you developing a life long habit of spending time in God’s Word?
Be sure to stop by Mom’s Toolbox for this week’s check-in so that you can receive encouragement from the community of other readers that are reading the Bible right along with you!

Wonderful to hear, Monica!! Truly nothing re-orders the priorities and “feel” of my days more than starting it out with the Lord in His Word!!
Way to go and keep it up! May God keep our feet firmly on His path! 🙂
