Reading
Last Sunday I purchased The Girl on the Train on my kindle before heading out to cheer for Keith during his half-marathon. I knew we’d have over an hour to wait while he ran and I wanted to spend that time reading. I got so enthralled by this book and it was finished by Monday night. Yikes!!! It was such a good read. It was suspenseful and the characters, while not really likable, really captured my attention.
I gave this read 4 out of 5 starts on Goodreads.
Watching
Hand-lettering is a craft that I am wanting to learn. From everything that I see, the key is to practice, practice, practice! I loved watching this video on hand lettering tips from Elise of A Beautiful Mess.
Listening
Mud Stories is a podcast that I just found this week and I really love! She really gets down to heart issues with her guests and is so encouraging. I’ve already referenced it in several conversations. I can’t wait to listen to back episodes that I’ve missed.
This podcast is dedicated to bringing inspiration in your “muddiest moments”, hope to make it through your “mud” and encouragement for you to know that you are not alone.
Debating
The color of the dress that broke the internet with my husband.
I see a gold and white dress.
He sees a blue and black dress.
What do you see?
Praying
I am praying for this sweet family in my church and Sunday School class.
They lost a daughter several years ago to Spinal Muscular Atrophy and their new born daughter has tested for the SMN gene. She is undergoing SMA genetic therapy in Columbus, Ohio. Evelyn is the youngest person in the study to receive this treatment and the 6th individual ever to have SMA genetic therapy. They are asking for prayers that this study will result in a cure for families with SMA and that this treatment works for sweet baby Evelyn so she will grow up healthy and strong.
Would you consider praying for and possible supporting this family?
That’s it for today!
One more thing…We’re leaving for Disney tomorrow and I’m looking forward to blogging our adventures there next week!
Have a great weekend!
