My husband bought me a Fitbit Zip for our anniversary this year and it has made a huge difference in my personal fitness! This Fitbit tracks steps, distance and calories burned throughout the day and automatically syncs to the computer, iPhone, and tablets. It’s also very easy to wear!
I am motivated to stay active every day so that I meet my goal of 10,000 steps. Recently, I have been walking an hour on the treadmill in the mornings and I’m able to accomplish 8,000 of those steps before my kids even wake up…Score!!!
We don’t take our children to a lot of movies in the theaters because it’s just too expensive. We took our girls and Will several years ago. It was their first time to the movies and they spent almost the entire time complaining because we didn’t buy popcorn and drinks. I was completely frustrated by the experience.
The movie theater on post is having a summer movie series where we can go to the movies for just $3.50 including the ticket, a kids drink and popcorn. The movies are older, but my little ones don’t mind watching movies that they love over and over again. The kids and I went on Tuesday and saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and we had a blast!
I recently read two fiction books that were really good.
The Burgess Boys by Elizabeth Strout
The Time Between by Karen White
I also read a really good e-book that I would love to recommend to you. I’m in the process of reading another, so I’ll save it for next week.
Fresh, cold watermelon…my favorite snack of the summer!
