I scrapped this page for a speed scrap during Digital Scrapbook Day (weekend).
The instructions for the speed scrap were:
1. for the background I used two papers: a neutral card stock and 1/4 of the page (on one side of the layout, I used the left side) is a patterned paper
2. On the lower corner I used two small paper stripes
3. place your photo on the neutral card stock, you can use a frame or a white border
4. place 2 or three layers of papers (each a little bit bigger than the photo) under the photo. You can also use an arrow-element, label or a tag.
5. on the background papers I used some paint splatters and scribbbles
6. below the photo (and papers) I added a proper wordart
7. Last step is decorating! Have fun using different elements! I can’t do a layout without adding some flowers, beads and sequins…
Don’t forget to use shadows!
Several of us participating in this speed scrap used the same kit and it was amazing to me how different our pages came out. Same instructions, same kit, but very different layouts.
I used a collaboration kit from The Lilypad to scrap this and it looks like it isn’t available in the store right now.
As I look back at this page and how I am currently in a good place in life, “having lots of fun” I was reminded of my devotion yesterday on giving thanks in joy.
Psalm 30:11-12 says,
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
This is exactly what God has done for me!!
For this I will remember where I came from and praise Him for the joy that lives in my heart only because of Him.
