Each week in our homeschool, my children have a memory verse to memorize.
It is so important for them to begin hiding God’s word in their heart at a young age!
I hang their memory verse up on our calendar board and it is also written on our refrigerator for them to visually see it and, thus, practice it throughout the day.
We also sing a song that helps them commit the verse to memory each week.
I’m going to share our verse with you each week along with a printable that you can use. Even if you’re not a homeschooler, I would encourage you to work on memory verses with your children.
This week’s verse is:
But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Joshua 24:15

The best way to learn to dwell on God’s word is to hide it in your heart through meditating on it and committing scripture to memory.

I will be using them. Thanks. I always start out with good intentions and then something happens. With the kids being older, is seems to be harder. But I am going to give it a try. Thanks for the good reminder. This will be added to our home school day!! Good luck We start in 2 weeks.

Before I began homeschooling almost three years ago, I read about a lot of families incorporating Bible verse memorization into their curriculum. Since I wasn’t raised reading the Bible, this intimidated me…at first. Then I found a 21-Day Bible Memory Verse Challenge and a new world opened up to me! I even created memory cards for each verse taught. Last Easter my girls and I learned the Beatitudes together. Love it!
