It isn’t often that we get rain here in El Paso.
We’re actually in the “rainy” season right now and hold your hats…it rained ONCE on our side of town this week.
Sometimes the east side of El Paso will get rain that just doesn’t make it over the mountain to us.
So…when we do get rain, it is a glorious thing to be celebrated.
We all get so excited to see rain clouds in the sky and the smell of rain (okay…mud) in the air.
I usually have to pull out my camera to capture the cloudy skies.
And the kids run outside to dance in the rain falling from the sky.
I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed rain so much as I do here in the desert.
I guess the lack of it has really made me appreciate what would have been considered a nuisance when we experienced it more often.
That’s how it is with a lot of things in life.
The lack of something really makes us appreciate it more.
May we all learn to appreciate the beauties of life that are in abundance all around us!
