The one word challenge at The Lilypad this month was to use the word “Reflection”.
My husband captured this shot of MC praying during our first day of school this year.
I love this picture of my sweet girl with her eyes closed, praying to her Father in Heaven.

I’ve been doing a lot of reflection of my own in regards to homeschooling.
This homeschooling venture is not an easy one, but it is one that I know I have been called to.
And God equips us for our calling. He gives me the strength that I need for each day as I rely on Him. No more…no less.
Some days leave me completely zapped with nothing left when the school day is over.
And then there are the days that keep me going where I can see learning take place.
I am so thankful for this privilege that I have to school my children together at home.
I am realizing more and more that this isn’t something that I can do alone and in my own strength. I have to begin each day seeking God’s guidance and then rely on Him to see me through each day…the good ones and the bad. And I have to surround myself with friends who support and encourage me.
These two things are more important to my homeschool success than any curriculum that money could ever buy.
And now I’m off to prepare for a new week of learning with the children that God has entrusted to me.
May I be faithful to this calling.
