I love setting aside some time for scrapbooking. It feels like I haven’t been able to do that in such a very long time. After looking back, actually other than Project Life layouts, I haven’t done any scrapbooking all month. Yikes!
So, last night, I had some down time and went in search of some good challenges to get my creative juices flowing. I love using challenges to spark my creativity and get me started when I want to do some “for fun” scrapbooking.
I was having such a good time that I couldn’t make myself stop until I had three layouts completed. I’m hoping to do a few more tonight.
Here are the layouts I worked on last night…
Create Memories
This was for the template challenge and to be honest, I had a really hard time working with the template that was provided for the challenge. I ended up changing the template quite a bit to suit my style more. The template actually had three photo spots with rounded frames. I took out two of the photo spots that were to the left of the picture and replaced it with the floral patterned paper.
I took this photo of Jenny earlier this week when we were on a playdate with friends at the park. The theme of this layout…create memories…is just perfect for a layout focused on Jenny. Like my journaling reads, she is such a little go-getter. I truly love creating memories with her and she is great at enjoying life and creating memories.
Easter 2015
Y’all…this just makes me smile!
To help get some decent Easter pictures of the kids, I promised them that if they would smile (and, yes, there is a typo in my journaling that I’m going to have to fix) for one good picture, that they could then do some silly pictures. They had so much fun and the silly picture ended up being my favorite!
This layout was done for the BYOC challenge, which is one challenge that I know I can usually get done as I typically purchase several products at The Lilypad during BYOC weekend, which is the first weekend of every month. BYOC stands for build your own collab. To meet the requirements of the challenge, you have to scrap your layout using products from three different designers. I actually used products from four different designers in this layout.
Random Days
This layout is for the Random challenge, which was to scrap something “random” and use the word random in your title. I decided to do a layout about celebrating random days, such as National Siblings Day, which my children were giving each other a hug for in the photo.
I love the bright pops of color that I was able to use in this layout along with the black and white photo.
You can see all the layouts that I’ve created this year by clicking on the gallery link for my 2015 scrapbook layouts in the navigation bar at the top of this page.
