There are moments so tender that I must treasure them up in my heart as Mary did in the moments surrounding Christ’s birth.
Whispers of God’s love, unmerited by this sinner, are tucked within those tender moments.
In the intimacy of love displayed in marriage there is tenderness so sweet it must be savored.
In the surprisingly deep conversations between my six year olds and myself tenderness flows out of trust and acceptance.
In the moments of silly abandon with my four year old tenderness rises to the surface of this mama’s heart.
In the cuddles given to my baby as she’s waking up or settling down to sleep tenderness dominates.
In the quiet times with my Savoir as His Spirit whispers to my soul, speaking straight to the needs of my heart, tenderness calms and sooths fears, worries, and anxieties.
It is these moments of tenderness that I treasure as a gift from God’s very own hand.

Such lovely moments indeed. I love this:

Yes, I need to remember this daily. Thank you, friend. God bless your day!

How I miss cuddling and nursing a baby! Those moments indeed are so precious, so tender it felt as if my heart could explode. But I’m blessed because my little guy is quite the affectionate one still. Enjoyed reading your Five Minute Friday!
