Today’s travel from Phoenix to Disneyland started out with rain.
After living in El Paso for eight months, we almost didn’t know how to act at the sight of rain.
The drive took on a little extra bit of excitement for me when I discovered that we would be driving through Los Angeles. This is one place that I’ve always wanted to visit. At this point, our family has driven from one end of the country to the other. I never thought I would be able to say that.
Another day, another McDonald’s, right?? This time it was just for a snack to help break up the long drive.
We had lunch at Bob’s Big Boy right outside of Los Angeles.
Of course, we had to be typical tourists and have a family picture taken with Big Boy.
After leaving the restaurant, we told the kids that we were very close to Disney and they should turn their DVD’s off and look out the window because they would probably see some fun sights.
Will took our advice very seriously.
Yoda is the perfect riding companion for him!
Everyone was super excited to see our room…complete with themed decorations and beach ball pillows.
After getting settled in our rooms and resting for a bit we headed out to explore Downtown Disney. It was a great start to have a relaxing stroll through the stores and enjoy a light dinner.
Can you believe this Beauty and the Beast made out of legos??? Amazing!
And speaking of amazing…Will was amazed by the Star Wars toys in the World of Disney store. He was rendered speechless for a while there.
We cannot wait to get into the parks tomorrow…we have a bucket list of attractions that we want to see, but most of all we just want to enjoy our time together as a family on this magical vacation.
