We are gradually finishing up our 2013-2014 Homeschool Year.
I. Am. SO. Ready.
I’m ready for a summer break and my thoughts are already filled with plans for next year.
Today, Will will complete his last first grade math lesson for this year.
He’s had a great year in math and I’m so excited for him!!
Last night at dinner, I said, “Guess what, Will??!! Tomorrow is your last math lesson for the year…YAY…aren’t you so excited?”
And everyone cheered but Will.
He looked at me and said, “Well, I think that’s sad. I like math. It’s my favorite subject.”
And I was humbled.
Also, once again, my children have demonstrated for me the wonderfulness of homeschool.
My children don’t dread school.
They don’t celebrate it’s ending.
It’s kind of sad for them.
I love that I can truly teach my children a love for learning.
School isn’t just something we do from 9-3 Monday through Friday. It’s a way of life for us.
It’s a beautiful part of our family’s life that we celebrate.
I am so grateful for that and for the lessons my children teach me everyday.
