We enjoyed one of the best weekends we’ve had in a while!
Most of our weekends turn into errand running and catching up on whatever didn’t get accomplished during the week along with church and studying (for Keith) on Sundays. Since today was a holiday, we were free to enjoy our weekend together a little more.
On Friday afternoon when Keith came home from his classes, we headed out to Kansas City for a field trip. My oldest girls are studying World War I in History right now, so we decided it was the perfect time to visit the National World War I Museum.
It was so hard to get a good picture outside because the sun was SO BRIGHT!
We followed up our visit to the museum with dinner at Cracker Barrel.
This kid LOVES Cracker Barrel’s Macaroni and Cheese!
On Saturday a friend who lives just a few houses down invited me to join her on a shopping trip to Nordstrom. Believe it or not, I have never shopped in a Nordstrom department store! Nordstrom is my friend’s favorite store and I can definitely see why. It was such an enjoyable shopping experience. I had the best time!!!
Keith was at home with the kids while I spent much of my day shopping. Yes, I have an awesome husband!
Will and Jenny made wishes on dandelions while playing outside.
On Saturday afternoon we were finally able to tackle cleaning out the garage so I can park my car there. Moving is hard y’all!
With my car out of the way, Keith and the kids were able to play a mean game of two-square in the driveway.
Our weekend ended with a date night for Keith and I while the kids were in AWANA at church. We don’t get many date nights here, so this was something we had been looking forward to!
We ate at Noodles and Company. It was my first time eating there and oh, my, was it ever delicious! I had the Indonesian Peanut Sauté and I’m anxiously anticipating leftovers for dinner tonight!!
Did you get to do anything fun this weekend?
