The last couple of days have been so very busy. My sister-in-law moved to another city in Germany three weeks ago and she was able to come for a visit yesterday. She stayed until this afternoon. We had such a good time catching up! The girls and Will just loved her and her daughter.
For her visit, I attempted cooking a beef roast in the oven for THE FIRST TIME!! I got some great advice from my mother-in-law and I am happy to report that it was DELICIOUS! I think I’ll be doing this more often. We even had Mindy over for some wonderful leftovers tonight.
This afternoon we took a walk to the post office. I was so excited to finally get Photoshop Elements 6! I’ve been using version 4 and ordered this newer version for my scrapbooking. Watching the mail while waiting for a package is worse than watching a pot for water to boil. It seems like an eternity since I ordered that software, but it really hasn’t been that long.
I couldn’t wait for the children to go to bed tonight so I could install elements and start playing! I had some small issues with the installation, but I couldn’t turn the computer off until I at least put together one simple layout.
Here’s my very fist layout using Elements 6:
The title is Sweet and I credit the Sweet as Cheery Pie page kit by Nicole Young for the papers and elements used.
This is such a sweet portrait of Mary Catherine taken the summer of 2006. She was just over a year old and I took her and Elizabeth Anne to have pictures taken so I could send Keith some for his Father’s Day gift. He was nearing the end of his first deployment and I thought he would enjoy having pictures of the girls.

Isn’t roast in the oven just the easiest thing??? I prefer it over crock pot because it’s faster and it can get a crust on it. I didn’t know your SIL was in Germany. Love the new page and isn’t V6 great.
