Just as God saw the people of Israel when they called out to Him for help, he sees me.
God saw their need, their distress, and their pain.
In turn, God sees my own need. He sees my distress, my hurt, and every pain.
From the heights of heaven above, God sees.
But God went and He goes beyond seeing.
God knew.
God knows.
God knew the needs of His people. He knew the desires of their hearts. He knew all.
In the same way God knows me.
In this moment, at this very time, God knows.
He knows me intimately and deeply.
He knows my needs, my desires, my longings, my fears.
He knows all.
And he knows you.
It is comforting, sometimes all the comfort that my soul needs, to know that He knows.
My soul rejoices today in His knowing.

I am stopping over from Barbies blog! This is a wonderful reminder! I think many days we get too busy to stop and remember that God sees and knows all that we are going through and need. Thank you for sharing!

Stopped by from Barbie’s place. Noticed you are an army chaplain’s wife and my husband is an endorser of military chaplains for the Anglican Mission. It has been so fun and quite a privilege to get to know many of the chaplains and their wives. Blessings to you!

I find it very comforting that God knows me inside and out and totally understands why I do things the way I do. Only He truly knows. 🙂
Blessings,

This makes me think of a Bible Study that just started at First North– it’s called “He Sees Me” and it’s written by Donna Ward, the women’s minister at First North. It’s AWESOME— and it’s available either live on-line at 5:15-7pm EST Sunday nights— live chat (to discuss the homework) from 5:15-5:45, and then a live lesson taught by Donna from 5:45 until 6:45ish. It’s also available to view on-demand. Each week’s homework is available for download. The next study isn’t until Feb 12th, so there is time to catch up if you are interested in starting.
Donna wrote one last fall on Ruth and it was AMAZING. This one is based on Hagar, and I am LOVING IT so far. 🙂 I just thought I’d throw the info out there in case you, or any of your readers, might be interested. 🙂 The web address is http://www.firstnorth.org and then click on the link for “watch live”. 🙂
