I was reminded of the importance of practicing gratitude this week as I was encouraging a friend to do that very thing.
I have been writing in my blessings journal off an on since the last time I posted them here, but I do want to be more consistent. Ha! Honestly, I want to be more consistent with everything in my life right now. It’s all a matter of practice.
Some days I am so exhausted that all I can do that the end of them is crawl into bed and throw the covers over my head, hoping for a better tomorrow.
I was shocked to see that I haven’t posted my Blessings All Mine list in several months, so I’m sharing part of my current list now. I’ll share more next week along with my current blessings. As I return to this list I am reminded of so much good that I have to be thankful for in the midst of the hard moments in this season. This reminder is exactly why I started keeping this journal and it’s why I am constantly encouraged to pick it up again.

As I was typing this list out here, I noticed a few “blessings” that were repeated. My first instinct was to think “oh, I shouldn’t have written that down twice”. But, as I think about it, I am convinced that, yes, we should express gratitude for the same things over and over again.
Day after day, moment after moment, we are to give thanks for an in ALL things.
There are many blessings that I experience that I am thankful for multiple times over.
Do you find yourself giving thanks for the same things over and over again as I do?
