Daily Life {Documented} sounds just like what it is…I’m documenting our daily life through pocket scrapbooking. I love doing these weekly layouts to document the big and little moments of our life. I love looking back on these layouts and remembering all the ways we have been blessed!
I’ve been doing digital Project Life layouts since 2012 and I love the way I’m able to document our stories through this form of scrapbooking.
These pocket style layouts are so easy and quick to put together! It’s a very simple way of scrapbooking your life story.
I’m so excited to share this week’s layouts!!
Left Side
For the title cards that are always placed in the left most 3×4 pocket, I try to select a pretty dominant color from my photos to highlight the week number and dates for the week.
Keith was at a retreat in Santa Fe over the weekend and woke up to snow on Sunday morning before he was to head back home! It was a cold day in El Paso, too!!
I added the word “don’t” to this journaling card that read “grow up”. We’re constantly telling Jenny not to grow up. She’s my baby and it hurts my heart a little to see her growing up so fast! She always replies, “But I have to grow up!” with the cutest little smirk on her face.
The awards ceremony for Will’s Trail Life group was this week and Keith had the honor of giving Will his award since he was his leader this year.
Right Side
I love these photos of each of the kids that I was able to place in the 3×4 pockets on this layout. The first three were taken at the park on our weekly Friday playdate with friends. The photo of Jenny was taken before we went into a birthday party.
I couldn’t get the photo of Keith and I to fit well inside the 4×6 pocket, so I decided to scale it down into a smaller square and I added a stroke around it to serve as a frame. I used stitching on the pocket to frame my journaling here.
