Happy Friday Friends!!!
I love sharing five of my most favorite and random things here every Friday! I’m so glad you joined me today!
{1} Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo
We’ve been enjoying a nice Spring Break this week! On Monday we visited Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and loved it!!!
Since before moving to Fort Leavenworth, so many people have told us that the Omaha Zoo was a place that we absolutely MUST visit. We had no idea what all the fuss was since we truly have enjoyed the Kansas City Zoo.
Well, now that we’ve been there we totally get it! We had to much fun at the Omaha Zoo. There was so much to see and do!!!
We saw the most unique animals that we haven’t seen at visits to zoos before. And there were so many! I was telling a friend about it yesterday…normally we will see maybe a chimpanzee during a zoo visit, but at this zoo, we saw at least SIX chimpanzees. And it was the same for many of the animals on exhibit.
We studied land animals in science this year and the kids were thrilled to see many of the animals that we have studied throughout the year.
{2} The Last Anniversary
I finished reading The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty earlier this week. Like all of her books it was a great read filled with many twists and turns and lots of interesting characters!
{3} The Moistest Chocolate Mug Cake
You simply must try this chocolate mug cake by Table for Two! I had it this afternoon for a sweet treat and it was so perfect and satisfying! This will for sure be my go-to recipe for a quick and easy chocolate fix.
{4} Happy Hour #80
The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey is my absolute favorite podcast to listen to with the PopCast with Jamie B. Golden and Knox McCoy being a close second. Well, this week my podcast listening world was rocked with Jamie Ivey interviewed Jamie B. Golden on The Happy Hour episode 80. They talked everything from pop culture to stepping out in faith and trusting God. LOVE!!!
{5} Lens of Joy
I am so excited about taking the Lens of Joy photography class by Ali Edwards in April! I absolutely love her storytelling style of photographing moments and can’t wait to learn more from her.
The video should explain more of Ali’s heart behind this class. Registration is open until April 13th. I would love to have you join me in the class!!
And that’s it for today! I’m looking forward to a weekend of cleaning, planning, relaxing, worshiping and, of course, scrapbooking!
