Happy Monday, friends!!!
I am so thankful for a new week and new grace with which to face it. I love making goals for each week, but I also realize that I will not always meet those ambitious goals I set for myself. That’s where grace comes in. I used to beat myself up for my “failures” of not meeting my goals. Now, I’ve learned to accept them. I’ve learned that without failure and grace there is no growth. So I’m just thankful for it all.
My goals for this week include:
- daily Bible reading using the Bible reading plan that’s in the back of my Bible
- no social media/phone use before reading my Bible each morning
- walk on the treadmill at least 5x
- Post to The Lilypad blog (Thursday)
- make a gift for Chaplain Spouses coffee
- lunch with friends from Sunday School
- Prepare for National Scrapbook Day celebrations this weekend
- Post to this blog daily
- Track daily gratitudes
- Plan something special for Will for Star Wars Day
- dentist appointments
We have a really light weekly menu plan this week. Keith is traveling some with work, so I’m keeping things super simple for the kids and myself.
Here’s our menu plan for this week…
Sunday – Pulled Pork Sandwiches
Monday – leftovers
Tuesday – Chaplain Spouses Coffee (for me); Pizza for the kids
Wednesday – Creamy White Chicken Chili; Bacon Cheesy Bread
Thursday – leftovers
Friday – Chick-fil-a (we have gift cards to use)
Saturday – Chicken and Vegetable Quesadillas
