Hello friends!!!
One of my major creative hobby goals is to get back into the habit of digital scrapbooking. This is a hobby that I love so much, but has definitely been neglected over the last several years.
The best way that I have found to get back into the habit of scrapbooking after it has been a while or when my creative “mojo” is low, is to just pick a template and kit, find a photo to go with them, and just open up Photoshop and get started.
That’s exactly what I did this afternoon and I am so excited to share the completed layout with you!
For this summery layout, I used a selfie that I snapped in the car soon after moving to El Paso. I found a simple template by Designed by Soco and a fun summer themed kit. (both the template and kit were new releases at The Lilypad this weekend)
I added just a couple lines of text for journaling and the date at the bottom right hand corner of the page. For the title, I am using word art from the kit.
My intention is to share scrapbooking layouts here on Saturdays–hopefully whatever I have scrapped during the week–and if I haven’t scrapped anything during the week, this will serve as motivation to sit down and create at least one new layout.
I’m excited about so many things right now and getting back into scrapbooking is one of them!
