As I’ve mentioned and before and will be writing about more, this is our first week of homeschool!! I am super excited about it and what it will mean for our family. I’ve had to change our grocery shopping from Monday morning to the afternoon….I may need prayer for this!! We’re usually there when no one else is and I’m a bit anxious about how the afternoon grocery shopping may go, but I really want to keep the mornings free so we can get into a good school routine. Meals are going to be pretty simple this week.
Monday – Grilled (George Foreman) Steak, Fries, and Salad
Tuesday – Oven BBQ Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans
Wednesday – Homestyle Tuna Casserole, Salad, Rolls
Thursday – Leftovers
Friday – Dinner at the Rhinelander
Saturday – Bacon Cheeseburgers, Baked Beans, and Tater Tots
This Home-Style Tuna Casserole (from Kraft Make It Simple Recipe Collection) is my absolute favorite way to have tuna casserole, I hope you enjoy it, too!
1 package (14 oz) Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese Dinner
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of celery soup
1 can (6 oz) tuna, drained, flaked
1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup milk
2 T. finely chopped onion
2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted
Prepare dinner as directed on package. Add soup, tuna, peas, milk, and onion; mix lightly.
Spoon into 2 quart casserole. Toss crumbs and butter; sprinkle over casserole.
Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Oh, one other thing this week….if you haven’t done so, you should really check out Tasty Kitchen. It’s a new recipe/cooking community started by the Pioneer Woman. You can become a member and submit and/or search from recipes listed and there are sooooo many good ones to choose from. My recipes for this week didn’t come from there, since we were keeping it super simple, but I am certain that I will be using it in the future!
