Each month I create a special project as part of my creative team requirements for Paislee Press. For this, we’re able to choose any kit in her store and I always have such a hard time choosing from all of her amazing products!
This month, I started with knowing the photo I wanted to scrap. This is a photo of my kiddos playing with neighborhood friends on our front lawn. They were having such a good time playing that I didn’t want to call them in for dinner.
This photo was shot from behind to really capture their play and also so that the other kids’ faces aren’t really showing prominently.
Knowing that I wanted to scrap that photo, I found a kit that was just perfect for it!
Frolic is a collaboration kit with Paislee Press and Traci Reed that emphasizes fun play!
The colors of this kit also coordinates well with the colors in the photo…I love it when that happens!
One of my favorite parts of this kit was the “play all day” word art. I used that as the title of my page and aligned my journaling around it.
I placed several paper mats using patterned paper under the framed photo on my layout, with a doily under all of those. Lots of paper layering is a technique that I really use a lot.
When I posted this photo on Instagram, a friend commented that she loves that our neighborhood is filled with kids that play OUTSIDE and I agree. That is definitely one thing that I have loved about living on post. There are always lots of kids having fun playing outside.
