I’ve been anxious to update the prayer journal printables that I’ve had available here for the last few years.
I originally shared my own prayer journal notebook using prayer lists included in it from The Busy Mom’s Guide to Prayer by Lisa Whelchel, which I highly recommend. After receiving feedback from many requesting downloadable printables of these pages, I updated my own pages and made them available in 2012.
One of my goals for the new year is to pull these out and put them into practice in my own devotional and prayer time again, so I decided to give the printables a fresh new look!
I am so pleased and excited for how these turned out and I can’t wait to share them with you!
My One Word focus for the new year is the word CREATE and one of my goals is to create beautiful printables and images to share with you more often!
This prayer journal has been the best resource for my prayer life. It gives me a place to write down scripture and meditate on them along with a place to record prayer requests and answers to those.
These can be a great guide to facilitate your personal prayer time. I know that may be a goal for many of you in the new year…or really, any time of the year.
I use a three ring binder and place each of the ten sections here in page protectors. In between sections I have notebook paper to write down more specific prayer requests for those topics.
I use the Scripture section to write out verses that stand out to me as I read and study the Bible. I like to look back on these to see what God was speaking to my heart through His Word in different seasons of life.
Several of the sections (praise, husband, children, self, and reaching beyond) in the prayer journal have twenty areas of concern that can be addressed in prayer on a daily basis. For example on day one I’ll pray for all of the areas of concern numbered with a one. On day two I’ll do the same for the areas of concern listed with the number 2 and so on. When I’ve prayed through twenty days, then I start back over with one.
Each of these pages (including the cover) is FREE for you to download as a printable 8.5 x 11 PDF. Just click on the image and a new tab should open. From there you can right click to save that image or print.
Also, this time around I have one link that will take you to a zip download for all of the printables. The link for this download will take you to box.com where I hold my larger files. You’ll need to extract the file to unzip it after downloading, but then you’ll have PDFs of all the prayer journal printables here!

I hope you enjoy using these to set up your own prayer journal! I pray that they will be a blessing to you and your personal prayer time this year.
I would also love to hear from you on how you are using these and if there are more categories/pages you’d like to see added to them at a future date. I can’t make any promises, but I do plan on expanding these as there is a need.
Make sure you subscribe to DailyDwelling to receive notice of more printables in the future! I’m excited about sharing my creations with you this year!
