Hi guys!!!
I thought it would be fun to do a Month of Challenges edition of Scrapbook Saturday today. I’m about half-way through the Month of Challenges at The Lilypad. I’m not sure if I will finish all of the challenges before the end of the month, but I will complete them all.
As of this afternoon, I have completed fourteen of the challenges.
The Month of Challenges at The Lilypad is my favorite scrapbook project of the year! I love being pushed to try new techniques and I also love the practice of scrapbooking (almost) every day.
For these, I’ll share the layout title, the layout, a brief description of the challenge it is for, and the products I used.
Here we go!
Happy People
Challenge: Blind Scrap (Random)
Instructions:
- Start with ONE solid background paper.
- Add ONE patterned paper that is smaller than your background paper (you should still be able to see the solid background).
- Add ONE frame. This can be a single opening frame, or multiple opening frame. But it must be one frame.
- Place your photo(s) inside your frame.
- Add a journal card somewhere on your page.
- Add ONE piece of word art. You may NOT include additional journaling. Let your photo tell the story
- Add 6 elements to your page. These can be duplicated, or they can be 6 different elements. But you must have 6 (and only 6) elements visible. Since we have already added word art, you may NOT add additional word art (including word strips) as one of your 6 elements.
- Add the date.

Challenge: Dispersion Technique
This was probably the most challenging technique I’ve conquered! I started a layout using a different photo and it just wasn’t working for me, so I trashed it before heading to bed. I dreamed of the perfect photo (the one in this layout) to use and how to accomplish the technique. I was so excited and happy when this layout was finally completed!!

First Christmas
Challenge: Collage – Large Number of Photos
In this challenge we had to create a layout using a minimum of 20 photos. That was so hard for this girl that is usually a one photo scrapper! I used photos from the girls’ first Christmas.

We had to scrap a page documenting a day in our life. I chose to use the photos I took for #onedayhh that I participated in on Instagram on November 9 of this year. It was great to finally do something with those photos!
