Our neighborhood is full of expecting moms and moms with babies. I’m so excited to have discovered the prefect gift for them!
There’s nothing worse than working hard to get your baby down for a nap only for them to be awoken moments later by a knock at your door or the doorbell ringing.
I have one neighbor who has a piece of notebook paper taped over her doorbell asking visitors to PLEASE refrain from ringing it.
Another neighbor expressed a desire to make a sign to hang outside her door to let visitors know that the baby is sleeping and they should not knock or ring the doorbell.
I happily volunteered to make this for her!!
I was in need of something crafty to work on and I knew I had a chalkboard from Hobby Lobby on hand that would be just perfect for this sign. I also had the perfect vinyl in my stash!
This came together so quickly and easily as soon as I knew the exact wording that she wanted to use.
I simply designed the phrase in Silhouette Studio using two fun fonts. I ran the vinyl through my Silhouette Cameo, using yellow and white Orcal 651 vinyl.
This neighbor lives just two doors down from us, so I was able to run it over to her as soon as I finished.
She was so happy with this sign…I hope it helps to keep her baby sleep for long naps so she can get some much needed rest herself!
I thought it would be fun to include the Silhouette file that I designed and used in this project for anyone who would like to make a sleeping baby sign of their own.
CLICK HERE to download the studio file from Box.com, and remember this design is for personal use only!
I hope you enjoy this file and maybe are inspired to make a sleeping baby sign for yourself or a friend needing some quiet while the baby sleeps. I think this would make a great baby gift!!
