I am so excited to be participating in the Silhouette Challenge once again this month! The theme for this month is Summer and the bonus challenge this month is “jars”. I’m thrilled that I was able to incorporate the bonus challenge into my project and blog post this month!
Be sure to stick around for the end of this post so you can check out the other amazing projects from Silhouette Challenge Bloggers!!
Since moving into our new house this summer, I have been itching to create a welcoming wreath for our front door.
Finally, last week we made it over to Hobby Lobby to get the supplies I needed to craft a burlap wreath.
After completing it, I felt like it was still missing some finishing touches. So, it was my beloved Silhouette Cameo that came to the rescue!
The one finishing touch I really wanted to add was our family’s initial in the center. I looked all over Hobby Lobby for one when we were there, but I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. In the end, I decided to cut our initial out with my silhouette using chipboard and pink card stock scrapbook paper. Luckily, I had some Silhouette Chipboard and just the right shade of pink card stock paper on hand for this project!
The bonus challenge this month is jars, which is so appropriate, because nothing says “summer” more than a mason jar. I decided to attach a print and cut of wildflowers in a mason jar that I found in the online silhouette store.
This turned out super cute!!!
I did one more thing to finish out my door that I will show you in another post, so stay tuned! I promise you won’t want to miss out on this (and some other craft projects I have coming up), so be sure to subscribe to get blog posts delivered in your inbox, or you can also subscribe through a reader service such as Feedly.

Wreath + burlap is such a great combo—so welcoming. Hee…clever way to incorporate the jar!
Sam @ DIY Just Cuz says
I definitely think the initial makes it extra personalized – awesome! I have never made a wreath before, I never thought it was my style, but this one definitely is. Great!
Brittany @ DIY Just Cuz says
I love how you used chipboard for the accents! It definitely adds a really special flair to it. I’ve been meaning to make a wreath for so long, but they always seem so complicated. This is simple but really fantastic!
