I’m toying with an idea for a new recurring post on Sundays and I’m going to try it out on you today. I’d love any feedback you’re willing to give!
I like sticking with a pretty predictable posting schedule. On Sundays I’ve been posting my meal plan for the week, but in addition to that, I’d also like to post about some goals and plans for the upcoming week. I want to be more intentional with goal setting (and achieving) in the upcoming year.
I am also experimenting with decorating and having more fun with my Erin Condren Life Planner. I’ve been using the Erin Condren Life Planner for three years now and I absolutely love it!!! I have been so inspired looking at blog posts and pictures of how others are utilizing their planner to document their life that I want to give this a try for myself. I’ve also been inspired by some of the digital scrapbook designers that I love creating products specifically for this!
So, my thought is that on Sundays I’ll be writing about my plans and goals for the upcoming week by giving you a look at my decorated planner pages, outlining goals, and my weekly meal plan. I can also post a photo of our homeschool lesson plans is there’s an interest in that as well.
Let’s get started with a look at my very first planner layout…
For this I used supplies from the new Monthly Planner Collection at TLP and Baking Spirits Bright planner kit from Valorie Wibbens.
I used my Silhouette to print and cut the stickers on white sticker paper.
I’m currently using the vertical layout of the Erin Condren Life Planner, but for 2016 I ordered the horizontal layout and I’m really looking forward to using it! I think it will work better for my needs and how my brain works. I’ve already started playing with the first week in that planner.
My goals for this week are:
- Get my car serviced
- Finish Christmas shopping (by Wed.)
- Plan Christmas baking for the week
- Bake with each of my children
- Practice handlettering and doodling using the 30 Day Hand Lettering Challenge at By Dawn Nicole Designs
- Enjoy a relaxed Christmas with my family
- Read ch. 4 and 5 of Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World
And here is my menu plan for the week except for Christmas Eve which isn’t fully planned yet:
Sunday – Crock Pot Swedish Meatballs; Mixed Salad
Monday – Crock Pot Ranch Chicken Tacos; Tortilla Chips & Salsa
Tuesday – dinner out while seeing Christmas lights
Wednesday – One-Pot Cheeseburger Casserole
Thursday – Christmas Eve family party (TBD)
Friday – Southern Style Pulled Pork BBQ on Buns; Cole Slaw; Chips
What are your goals and plans for this upcoming week?

I like this format of sharing your week ahead. You’ve even inspired me to think about resurrecting my long forgotten blog. I like all the cute things you did to embellish your planner. What a great idea to plan to bake with each of your kids individually. I suspect that it would be overwhelming to have all 4 in there at once. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Fun to see our cultural differences when it comes to Christmas dinner! In the UK, we have a standard Christmas dinner – not unlike your Thanksgiving dinner – which is based around turkey, although some people have a goose. Wishing you and your family a blessed time!
