Tuesday is such an inconsequential day, stuck in the middle of the days with new beginnings and specialness to be celebrated. Tuesdays are laden with boring ordinariness.
Over this last school year, Tuesdays have become my favorite day of the week for two very special reasons….Tuesday nights have come to be celebrated.
On Tuesday nights my husband and our older kids head out the door to Trail Life (which my husband leads) and American Heritage Girls and I stay at home with our youngest, Jenny.
Jenny and I have special time together to snuggle on the couch and eat ice cream together.
During our busy days of homeschool and checking things off of a too-long to-do list, Jenny often gets neglected. She’s sent off to her room to play while I focus my attention on teaching her older siblings.
Our time together on Tuesday nights have become sacred for both of us.
Instead of looking at Tuesday as a day of nothingness to just get through, I now look forward to it and the one on one time I’ll spend with Jenny at the end of it.
Watch this video to find out my second reason for loving Tuesday nights…it’s something I never thought would be my reason for looking forward to a day like Tuesday.
Yay for Tuesday!!! and Wednesday…and everyday because God’s blessings flow into each one of them when we look for things to celebrate and be grateful for! When we choose to dwell on Him, each of our days become special.
