I just couldn’t let Valentine’s Day pass by this year without documenting it here.
It was a wonderful day for us! My husband is so good to all of us and he showered us with love this year for Valentine’s.
God has blessed me so richly by giving me a wonderful husband who shows all of us incredible love.
It has become a tradition that our girls get Barbies from their Daddy for Valentine’s Day. It started when EA and MC were not quite three years old and Keith was preparing to deploy to Iraq from Germany.
This year Jenny received her first Barbie. She didn’t quite know what to thing about it her at first.
It was a doctor Barbie with a baby. Jenny quickly warmed up to the idea and was playing doctor before the morning was over.
The kids went to visit the Disney store at the Outlet Shops here for the first time a few weeks ago. EA and MC saw some princess Barbies they didn’t already have in their collection.
MC received a Pocahontas Barbie.
And EA was ecstatic about her new Mulan Barbie.
Will got a Rex toy from Toy Story. He also spotted this on our trip to the Disney Store. He’s been asking for “Andy’s Rexie” ever since.
My husband surprised me with a Jo Totes camera bag that I’ve had my eyes on for awhile. I am so excited about this bag!!!
He also took Will out to buy me roses after he came in from work that afternoon…this has become another one of our family traditions that I cherish.
I left a “thank you for my roses” lipstick mark on little Will’s forehead.
Keith said that Will won some cute-kid points as they were in the store buying the flowers. As they were waiting in line Will said, “I can’t wait to give Mommy these flowers…she’s going to love them!”
We had a relaxing day off of school on Wednesday and just enjoyed each other’s company. The kids were able to play together and I attempted to catch up on Mt. Laundry.
The kids had swimming lessons that afternoon, so we picked up pizza for dinner on the way home.
Keith and I chose to spend time with the kids on Valentine’s Day and planned a date night for tonight. We went to eat at Casita Linda, a local Mexican Restaurant, and it was delicious!! I ordered fajitas for the very first time and oh, boy…have I ever been missing out!
Did you or your family do anything special for Valentine’s Day this year?
