Hi, friends!
I’m going a little blog revamping and one thing that I wanted to change was my weekly update/random posts that I do on Fridays. I’ve called it “Five on Friday” for a long time, but with looking at my goals for DailyDwelling in the new year, I wanted to make a name change. I decided to go with “Weekly Whatsoevers” to tie in to the whatsoevers listed in Philippians 4:8, which is my theme verse.
In these weekly posts, I’ll be doing what I typically did in my “Five on Friday’ posts, except that I won’t be tied to a number or day.
Today is the first in what I hope will be many weekly whatsoevers…enjoy!
//one// SNOW!!! We got a little bit of snow earlier this week and it has brought us a lot of joy! We enjoyed a slow, relaxing snow day reading when it was falling and the kids have been out sledding down the little hill behind our house.
//two// I did a lot of pondering about 2020 as I listened to the latest episode of Pantsuit Politics: How 2020 Changed Us. I highly encourage that you check it out!
//three// Laura Tremaine’s latest episode (ep. 95) of 10 Things to Tell You is another must listen. She goes over 10 Questions for the End of the Year. I’m going to journal my way through these questions and share some of my thoughts here.
//four// I have one more podcast to share today. Novel Pairings is a new to me podcast that I am loving! This week’s episode (Ep. 40) was a conversation with bookseller Annie Jones on The Joy of Nostalgic Reads and Books that Jo March Would Love.
//five// Everyday Reading has an incredible 2020 Reading Log for free download that is absolutely adorable! I printed one out for myself and I’m printing one for my girls to use as well.
//six// We’re gearing up for MOC 9 (Month of Challenges) at The Lilypad!! This is a 31 day scrapping challenge that is my favorite way to kick off my year of scrapbooking and I’m super excited about the challenge I’m hosting this year.
//seven// I’m doing some serious thinking about my One Little Word for 2021. I’ll be doing a blog post at the beginning of the year when I’m fully committed. If you’re interested in learning more about One Little Word and doing more with your chosen word in 2021, check out this workshop by Ali Edwards.
//eight// I am currently reading A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I haven’t read this classic and it was my goal to read it during the Christmas season this year. I’m really enjoying it, especially since we watched the classic movie a few weekends ago.
//nine// Obama tweeted out his favorite books of 2020 and I’ve read and loved seven out of the seventeen on his list. The others are going straight to my wish list.
//ten// I heard this quote from missionaries to Italy in a video shared during our church service last Sunday, “Evangelism is caring enough about the people that we want them to know Jesus.” I could not agree with this more. Evangelism starts with caring for people.
