One thing that I work on as a mom is developing my children’s relationship with one another.
When I was pregnant with the girls, knowing that they were twins, I prayed that they would be friends.
Best friends even.
That prayer has been answered.
Then Will joined our family.
I wondered how he would fit into the equation of our family with twin sisters who were already close to one another.
His sisters accepted him one hundred percent.
They love him and allow him to play right along with them…they always have.
And truth be known, he wouldn’t have it any other way.
He admires his sisters so much.
He seeks to imitate them and he can always be found right in the middle of whatever they are doing.
No, they are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination.
They have squabbles and fights just like any other set of siblings, but most of the time they truly cherish one another.
Today I watched as they worked together to put a simple puzzle together.
The three of them crowded around the pieces and took turns fitting the missing pieces in to fill a complete picture.
It is a moment that cried out to be captured.
As my heart cried out with pride upon watching my children interact, cooperate, and work with one another to accomplish a shared goal.

You can’t ask for more than them choosing each other as friends. What a wonderful moment you captured.
