This week I completed my Project Life layout for week 10 of this year, which included our trip to Disneyland.
I had a total of 945 pictures taken this week. So many!!! That can be just a bit overwhelming if you don’t have a clear purpose for your Project Life layouts. But I didn’t let the massive amount of photos taken this week overwhelm me when working on this layout because I have thought through my purpose for Project Life and my layouts.
I keep each week in a two page spread. There have been years when I tried to add in extra pages when I had lots of photos, but, honestly, I didn’t enjoy that so much.
My goal for Project Life is to have each week of our year documented, and thus, our life and memories documented. I’m not trying to capture or document every single photo that is taken, I just want each spread to be a quick snapshot of our week. I can best do that in a two page spread, whether I have a ton of photos or very little photos.
Traditional 12×12 pages and mini-albums are where I can get more detailed in my documenting. That’s not what Project Life is for me.
So…before scrapping this week, I did have to take some time to go through the photos I had and choose ones that would best represent our week. Then I was able to go from there.
