We had a glorious weekend filled with lots of family time.
We decided on Friday to forgo our daughters playing in the AWANA games competition and all the practices that go along with that in order to have more family time. We were intentional about the time we spent together this weekend and I’m so thankful that we were.
We wrapped up our school day early on Friday afternoon and headed out to the park with friends. We’re going to make this a regular thing for Friday afternoons. I love this time so much!
It’s been a while since we’ve gone out as a family to eat at a restaurant, so we did that after my husband came home from work. I can’t say no to my favorite Mexican food! This chicken fajita taco salad was delicious!
We walked off our dinner at the outlet mall. It was a great way to just have fun being together and we got some great deals at a few stores, too!
These two entertained themselves by dancing their little hearts out while I was shopping in the Loft.
MC spent some time reading to Jenny on Saturday morning and Jenny attached herself to her big sister for the rest of the weekend, claiming her to be her favorite.
We visited the railroad museum in downtown El Paso on Saturday and the kids took a little music class there. We spent the rest of the morning walking around the kids’ festival downtown.
Weekends are for soaking up time with our loves. He’s mine!
EA made some delicious meatball calzones for dinner on Saturday evening. She got the recipe from her Disney cookbook.
Weekends are for trying new things. I tried bulletproof coffee before church on Sunday morning and…ick!!! I did not love it. But, hey! I gave it an honest try.
Weekends are for hiking mountain trails and enjoying beautiful weather.
And weekends are for surviving workouts at the gym, prepared and ready to take on a new week!
