As of today I am officially 33 weeks along in my pregnancy with Jenny.
Sometimes, time seems like it’s just dragging by and another seven weeks of being pregnant seems like such a long, long, long time.
Times like when I awake at multiple intervals throughout the night with leg cramps that I have to walk out.
Times like when it’s 90 degrees outside (yes, and it’s just May) and I’m literally burning up!
Times like tonight when I am suffering an awful bout of heartburn/indigestion from drinking sweet tea…who gets heartburn from sweet tea??
And then sometimes, time seems to be literally flying by and I cannot believe how much there is to do in the next seven weeks!
I mean, when I stop to think about it…we’ll have another baby in our home in just two months!
In just two months I’ll be up multiple times throughout the night nursing a sweet baby girl back to sleep.
In just two months our entire lives will change yet again.
I’ve started decorating a nursery…something I haven’t really been able to do with my other three pregnancies because of moves and premature births.
I’ve started washing bedding and clothes in preparation of our new arrival.
I’ve also started making a list of all that has to be purchased and done before we welcome Jenny into our world.
I’m at the stage of pregnancy where I’m not exactly happy with my looks and little things can be such an irritation.
My latest on-going battle has been with my hair. It has been bugging me for weeks on end. The hot, hot, hot and humid weather hasn’t helped that.
I’ve been feeling a bit down in the dumps with the extra weight I’m carrying around and I knew I needed to take action in some way.
So, tonight, after I dropped EA, MC, and Will off for children’s choir and AWANA at church, I headed out to treat myself to a new haircut.
And it was just what the doctor ordered!
I feel so much better now that the thick mass of hair on top of my head it a bit lighter.
I’m hoping (with fingers crossed) that it may even cut some minutes off of my morning routine.
I came home and did my best to take some pictures to show you of my new “doâ€. But they’re not the best at all.
I never realized that it was so hard to take self-portraits…yikes…and even harder to try to remember to smile and stand at the right angle for a pregnancy shot, too.
The lighting in my little hallway bathroom was terrible as well, but I did the best I could do with editing and, well, here you go!
I have literally only one picture of me when I was pregnant with the girls and just one at the end of my pregnancy with Will. I had a goal to cherish this pregnancy a little more and take more pictures of myself, even though I’m big because I know how much they mean once the moment is gone.
And even though I am complaining quite a bit right now, I really do enjoy being pregnant and sensing a new life taking shape and growing within my womb.

I love the new hair do! It looks light and summery. And there’s just something about getting your hair done that feels good.
I loved these preggo pictures! You are so beautiful! Many times I have fondly looked back at my preggo pics with Luke and Will and it always brings back such precious memories.
Hope you don’t have any leg cramps tonight! Sweet Dreams. =)

♥ ♥ ♥ the new haircut – it looks totally fabulous. If you figure out how to make it look like that everyday, please share with me. You look great, and time will continue to go fast/slow until Jenny arrives.

I’m sure it won’t look like this everyday. In fact, I skipped washing it just so the salon look can last another day!

I love your new haircut! It looks great on you! I always felt rather down in the dumps at that point in pregnancy, too. It’s amazing what a haircut can do to make you feel better!
Amy @ Finer Things says
Your hair looks great! Will you have to work to keep it straight?
Monica says
I’ll have to flat iron it to keep it straight. But I’m sure I can go curly if I’m feeling extra lazy :).

First of all … nice haircut… you look great! Second… ugh … I remember the leg cramps well… and I , too, had to walk them off… my doctor at the time recommended I drink more water and that seemed to help… heartburn… another big ugh!… everything but water gave my heartburn by the end… and as for the pictures… they’re really nice… and you are so right.. I hated the way I looked through most of my pregnancy… and we have no pictures as a result… and I do regret it… I figured …oh well next time…and there was never another next time… I so well remember the time when I started making lists and setting things up… fun time ..enjoy!

I had terrible leg cramps in the middle of the night with my pregnancy with my daughter. I would wake up screaming they hurt so bad. I asked my school nurse (I was teaching at the time) what in the world I could do and she suggested I take a calcium suppliment along with my pre-natal vitamin. It worked! As long as I took the calcium each day I would not get leg cramps that night, but if I missed one day, that night I would get them. I was so amazed at how much of my calcium my little girl was using of mine. I had my son a year later and he didn’t take as much of my calcium! 🙂 BTW…you are beautiful!
