**Update** The random.org winner of the book Operation Christmas Child: A Story of Simple Gifts to one of you for packing a shoebox is commenter #3, Elana. Thank you all for commenting, but especially for packing a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child this year! **
This week November 18-25 is National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child!
Operation Christmas Child has shared God’s love through the power of a simple shoebox gift with over 100 million boys and girls in over 130 countries around the world. For many of these children, this is the only Christmas gift they have received and the only time they have heard of a God who loves them.
I am hosting a Veggie Tales movie and Operation Christmas Child shoebox packing party at my home on Saturday. We are thrilled to invite our friends to participate in this opportunity to share God’s love with children around the world.
Packing a shoebox is such a simple way to give to others while teaching your own children about the true meaning of Christmas.
I had planned to spend much more time writing about this, but the one thing I want you to know today is that it’s not too late to pack a shoebox for children in need!
If you’ve never packed a shoebox before, here’s a cute little Veggie Tales video that will show you how:
And if you’re a Duck Dynasty fan (who isn’t??) Uncle Si has a video as well. You can check it out here!
If you’ve never participated in Operation Christmas Child before, here are some more tips to help you get started…

And I have a special giveaway of the book Operation Christmas Child: A Story of Simple Gifts to one of you for packing a shoebox.
This beautiful book weaves the story of the beginning of the ministry of Operation Christmas Child and stories of lives that have been changed forever because of the gift of a simple shoebox. It is filled with full-color photos of children who have been impacted by this ministry and simple shoebox gifts given by people like me and you! This book would be a wonderful and inspiring read through the holiday season.
Just leave a comment below letting me know that you are going to or have already packed a shoebox this year.
I would love to see how many boxes we can pack together!

Th girls and I just helped our tiny church of fewer than 100 people pack 203 boxes on Saturday. I haven’t ever seen my girls so moved by anything as they were by the DVD that my friend lent to us. It covers all kinds of different aspects of the project. I would love to have a copy of this book even if I don’t win it from you. Please let me know where you got it.

My three little ones and I are working on finishing up our three boxes to turn in on Sunday.
I think this book would wrap up our project nicely. Thank you.

We packed 3 boxes up yesterday, even being on block leave! A hard lesson for my 2 littles to pick out toys, not for themselves, but they did great. Happy to be blessing others during this season.
