We had a very full weekend and were able to enjoy lots of family time…something we were really needing.
On Friday evening we went out to eat at Jose Peppers, a Mexican Restaurant. Instead of a paper kids menu to color, the kids were given a doodle board. These were the best!!! It kept them fully entertained while we ordered and waited on our food.
It is such a treat to be able to get out for some quiet time away from home.
My husband bought me a gift card to Panera Bread and gave me the opportunity to do just that this weekend! I went to Panera with plans to write for my upcoming October series, that I’m excited to tell you more about soon. I also enjoyed my favorite Cinnamon Crunch bagel and coffee and even did some shopping while I was out!
We had a party to go to with Keith’s small group on Saturday afternoon/evening. I signed up to bring a dessert and planned to make a Caramel Apple Bunt cake. Unfortunately the cake fell apart and I had to improvise. Fortunately, I ended up making a delicious Caramel Apple Trifle instead!
Will pretty much spent all of Saturday coloring in his new Hot Wheels coloring book that Keith bought for him from the Crayola store.
He is really into sidewalk chalk right now, too. He spent some really focused time drawing with chalk at our small group party.
Sunday morning ready for church selfie!!
This is not the best picture because I had to zoom in with my iPhone, but I just had to share that Jenny received her vest at AWANA on Sunday night. She earned it by memorizing and saying John 3:16. I can’t believe my baby is in Sparks!!! It makes me so sad, but so happy for her! She was so excited to receive her book and vest.
Keith ran a half-marathon in Kansas City on Sunday morning.
He met his time goal for this race and I am so very proud of him because it was a very challenging course. Yay Keith!!!
How was your weekend?
