Some weeks are great and I the time that my soul craves to create. That’s a week like last week when I began December Daily and kept up with scrapping my December days and blogging them for TWO WHOLE DAYS!
And then other weeks get crazy busy and overwhelming and I can’t seem to catch my breath.
That was this week.
I finally decided that it was time to get my stuff together last night and was able to crank out pages for days 3-7 of my December Daily album. It felt so good to do that!!! It’s just what I needed!
Here’s a look at those five days…
Day 3
The story of this day is focused on Will and Jenny’s relationship. They have a super special bond and I love watching the two of them together.
I printed a 4×6 photo of them together on the couch for the left side and paired it with two 3×4 journaling cards. I used one journaling card for my journaling and the other is a filler. I adhered tiny gold stars on the outside pocket of the filler journaling card.
Day 4
This day is all about my affinity for stopping by Starbucks for my favorite Peppermint Mocha on Sunday mornings. I cut the red cup to fit into a 3×4 pocket and adhered a “holiday cheer” label to the outside of the pocket. Beside that is a “merry & bright” 3×4 journaling card with a square cropped photo of the kids and I attached with washi tape. I journaled under the photo. I also included the coffee sleeve by punching holes so that it fit in the rings of my album.
Day 5
The highlight of our Monday was receiving a package from Keith. I wrote “from” on one side and “with love” on another of the 4×6 cropped photo of our package and attached alphas to spell out Korea. These letters were included in Ali’s December Daily main kit.
Day 6
The story of Day 6 was Jenny losing her second front tooth. It’s actually the third tooth she’s lost over the last two weeks. I went super simplistic with this spread and I love the way it turned out!! I also tried embossing for the FIRST time on the chipboard number 6. It was amazing and now I want to emboss everything!
Day 7
Speaking of embossing all the things…I embossed on this spread as well. I stamped the “warm and cozy”, the coffee mug, and the “winter” word art and embossed them with gold embossing powder.
The right side of this spread is another selfie of the kids and I before beginning our homeschool day. I have another Starbucks red cup in my hand. I accompanied this with typing out “loving” along the side of the photo and attaching two tiny red stars.
I had a blast putting all of these pages together last night!!! This album is a great “dipping of my toes” into hybrid scrapbooking.
