We’re getting ready to go to Williamsburg, VA for the weekend. Well, it’s not really for the entire weekend…we’ll be coming back tomorrow night. But we’re excited to go anyway. My husband is teaching a marriage retreat there and it will give us a chance to check-out Williamsburg for a longer visit in the future.
Since redefining my blogging goals and purpose, I have been a bit more selective with my choices for Friday Favorites.
While I enjoy a good recipe and craft ideas, I’m sharing a bit less of those.
What I will be sharing more of is posts that are written with much heart and really speak to me in my parenting and homemaking.
It is my prayer that you will be able to take something away from these posts that I am sharing.
Something that will speak to your heart and soul
as a Child of God,
as a wife,
as a mother,
as a homemaker.

Thank you Monica.
I’ve been considering starting a Friday Favorites type post and I think that your point is well taken. What exactly is my goal in blogging? Certainly the recipes and fun projects are the most popular posts, but what do I really hope to accomplish with my blog. What do I want to give to others?
You have me thinking again, which is usually good. 🙂

I completely understand… my blog is a cooking blog… and while I really love the exposure from blogs like yours… I also understand the need to keep your blog goals in perspective…
Have a great weekend!

Monica – enjoy your trip. You are so close you will have to go back. If you can squeeze a trip into the outlet mall, The Children’s Place outlet there always, always has the most awesome deals. Its worth it just to go there, and they have Hanna Anderson now which is also a favorite.
I can’t think of the one thing I would say you have to do – but if you need to kill an hour, take the free ferry ride across the James River – take Jamestown Road down toward the original settlement – so much fun for the kiddos.
