Will has two buddies.
Well, that is besides his sisters.
He sleeps with them every single night.
And he asks for them when he’s sitting on the couch cuddling or just watching TV.
When I see him with them it reminds me of the commercial from a long time ago when I was a little girl…”My buddy, my buddy. Wherever I go, he goes. My buddy, my buddy, my buddy and me.”
And aren’t you glad I’m not singing that to you.
Because it’s stuck in my head after just typing it out!
Do your kids have special “buddies” of their own?

Do you remember the girl version, Kid Sister? Talk about a catchy jungle! It’s on repeat now in my head:)
Jackson has a stuffed bear and raccoon that he loves. And his dog, Juno:)

Jacob (age 4) still has his Cowboy blanket…. oh that thing has been EVERYWHERE!!! 🙂
And then William (age 2) is still very much attached to his baby receiving blankets… so glad I got smart and have a few on rotation so I can wash them! LOL He has been going through phases where instead of a specific toy, he wants to wear different costumes!! Tonight he is Batman… but bumble bee, spiderman, tigger…. anything is possible!
Love your Captures! I still need to master those PSE Actions! 🙂

I totally remember that song, as well as the “Kid Sister” one as well!!
My kids all have these little blankeys they got as babies that have a little stuffed animal head on top and the butt end on the bottom. They all must sleep with them every night.

My girls each has a stuffed animal that was given to them by thier cousins the day after they were born. These animals were in the isolettes in the NICU with each girl, and have barely left their sides since. I often hear that Zack Puppy or Lion will miss them while they are at school, and those animals are the first things they go for each afternoon. The girls say that the animals make them remember their cousins.

I remember that song! I sing it to Zach all the time ’cause we call him our “little buddy.” 🙂
My kids don’t have things quite like that, but they are a little older. Ellie has a teddy bear she can’t sleep without, but she never plays with it during the day. Only when she’s tired or ill. And Zach has never been into stuffed animals. He loves his trains and cars, but his security item has always been the TAG on his blankets. He rubs it between his fingers and against his face while he sleeps. If the tag falls off, he won’t take the blanket anymore. We have purchased many, many identical blankets in the past four years — all for the sake of tags. 🙂

For my son’s first Easter… he was about 9 months old… we bought him this big “ugly” (his Dad’s description) floppy eared bunny… it was bigger than he was… but who knew he’d make an unbelievably close connection with that bunny… he came with a name…Bogart Bunny…. and he was Bogey from the beginning…. that bunny went everywhere… even on vacation with us… and Erik insisted he be stuffed in the suitcase when we went to Disney… actually the carry on…. because heaven forbid the airline lose the suitcase… sweet memeories

My son has stuffed Bolt (from the movie) that he sleeps with every night. He loves it so much that his littel sister thought it was so neat, too. We ended up having to get her one as well. Every night both of my kids go to sleep with their own Bolt (the Bolts are in different poses so we know which one belongs to which child). It is quite fitting that their “lovey” is a dog. This house has a serious dog infatuation problem.
