As I jot down my blessings in my spiral bound notebook, I notice that many of the blessing that I am inclined to count are things that I witness around me.
…my children playing together
…my husband surrounded by our little ones
…a clear blue sky
This is a reminder to me to always keep my eyes open for the blessings around me.
I am blessed by so many sights within my world.
Each day is a new opportunity to behold the blessings of God’s creation.
Each moment contains a chance to see the blessings of our home, our families, and our community.
Those blessings are just waiting to be counted as such.
This week I’m counting…
156. whispers in my ear
157. “you’re my best best friend, Mommy!”
158. baby laughing at her big brother
159. dress up parties
160. laughing with my husband…sharing moments together
161. cute boy dressed in his hat & back pack, pretending to go to “soccer school” with a big smile on his face
162. a fun family homeschool trip to Chucky Cheese
163. safety during the storm
164. my new sewing machine arriving on my doorstep earlier than expected
165. my first completed project
166. seeing my husband surrounded by our gaggle of children
167. witnessing a mother duckling cross the street, her baby ducklings following behind

I posted my Walk With Him Wednesday post today – but I heart reading thank you’s. I think you’re finding what many of us are – that it’s in the looking around – the right now – good things r bad – that life is lived. Ann knows things. No? And my favorite from your list this week is 167. witnessing a mother duckling cross the street, her baby ducklings following behind — because this is something a dad or a regular guy like me would see and think it was cute – but a mom looks at it and it means something much more – at least I think…
Thank you for this. I’m smiling. God bless and keep you and all of yours.
