Now that we have had warm spring weather, I have enjoyed going to the park with the kids as much as possible.
We took some balls to the playground and as you saw in my Wordless Wednesday post, Will had a blast throwing the balls and chasing after them.
But, of course, there is more to the story, and that’s what Tell Me Thursday is all about. Tell Me Thursday is giving me the opportunity to tell you a little more about the picture I put up for Wordless Wednesday each week. I prefer to keep my Wordless Wednesay posts wordless, so what a great opportunity!
The girls also had a fun time playing at the playground.
MC has recently mastered the art of pushing herself on the swing by pumping her legs. She is so excited about this new feat!
EA also spent a little time on the swings.
Then she spent lots of time taking care of, feeding, and putting grass in the home of her bird.
What bird??
Well, when Keith was home on leave, she began to play with and take care of an imaginary pet bird. Apparently, it came to the park with us yesterday and was in need of some tender loving care….and grass.

I LOVE imaginary friends/pets! Rachel sometimes brings along Jesse, the cowgirl from Toy Story 2. It’s nothing really consistent— but it’s HILARIOUS. I will have Nathan and Rachel out of the van and be shutting the door when Rachel will shout out of the blue “WAIT! Jesse is still in the van!” Then I will ask Jesse to come on, and THEN shut the door. Jesse makes a good excuse not to hold my hand in the parking lot too– “Mommy, I holding Jesse’s hand, not yours”– now that one I don’t indulge. 🙂 Jesse sometimes shows up at snack time too– and requires her own pile of cheesepuffs, which Rachel is HAPPY to help her eat. 🙂 SO much fun to see their imaginations at work. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I love how completely different kids can be. Blaire Rose was totally pumping her legs on the swings by age 4, but Paige has no desire to. She’d rather ‘dream’ while swinging on her tummy – pretending she’s on a space ship or something similar. So fun!
