I love babies! Who doesn’t, right?
I live in a young Army community where there are lots of babies. I’m sure there will be lots more appearing in about nine months or so since we have soldiers redeploying soon.
Today we had the privilege of babysitting one of the cutest babies EVER so that her mom could participate in the Iron Spouse’s Challenge. Her daddy actually came home earlier this week, but had to work this morning.
The girls and Will were almost as excited as I was about baby Makayla coming over this morning.
Will got to play PEEK
A-BOO!
Elizabeth Anne got to play “Little Mommy”.
And Mary Catherine got to tease, tickle, and play!
And then Baby Makayla decided that she was ready to go to sleep for a nap….a LONG NAP! She slept until her daddy came to pick her up. We must have wore her out!
But did you get that…..her DADDY came to pick her up. After a L-O-N-G deployment, those are beautiful words. She was born during the deployment, her daddy was able to come visit for a couple of weeks then and now he is able to reunite with his wife and daughter.
Keeping her today I thought about how nice it will be to see another baby in the house…not anytime soon, though. It was a joy to see all of the kids interact with her.
It was a fun morning, but I can’t do this very often or the baby bug will seriously be biting me!

So Cute! I have been told I need to be careful who I let babysit The Boy.. He apparently has a similar effect (when quiet). 🙂
