Bless her heart, EA had the brightest red birthmark right between her eyes when she was a baby. It has almost completely faded away now. We lived with Keith parents for about six weeks after the girls came home from the NICU. They helped me so much with taking care of these tiny babies! For awhile after coming home, EA had issues keeping her body temperature regulated. That’s why she is so bundled up in the first picture. It was taken in early summer.

MC came home from the NICU on an apnea monitor and home oxygen. For such a tiny baby, she was incredibly alert. We nicknamed her Curious George because her eyes were often wide open, exploring her world. She loved to sit up in her boppy pillow in the crib and look all around her.

By the time Will was three months we were settling into life in Germany. We took a trip to a nearby castly, Burg Lichtenburg. Will had colic as a baby and was constantly swaddled. He had to be tightly swaddled and rocked before he would even think about going to sleep for a nap! Oh, his favorite toy when he was a baby is in the last picture with him. It was a little frog that played music and my sister gave it to him before we moved.

Wow, does this bring back memories!!! I loved seeing the pictures of those precious babies. We miss you all so much. I hope you all had a great weekend. We did…I got caught up on a lot of things. I will give you a call sometime this week. Give all my little nieces and nephew a hug from their Aunt Rachel (AND Caroline …she told me!) 🙂 Franklin will be home on Friday.
