This morning I came to my time alone with God burdened and heavy-hearted.
Sometimes the weight of being all that I need to be and trying to do so on my own weighs down so hard and heavy.
Nurturing and loving doesn’t always come easy to me.
I often feel so alone in motherhood.
As I soaked up God’s Word, I came to realize that I am not alone. He is right here with me. The Great I Am is my God who desires for me to come to Him and find rest and peace. He will help me in my times of need. He will uphold me.
I am holding on to those words, dwelling on them and letting them soak into my heart, soul and mind today as I count the blessings of His Goodness to me.

The pictures of your kids made me smile….especially the princess one. Every girl should know she’s a princess. 🙂

Thank you, Stacy! And that is so true…this one definitely knows it!

Motherhood is hard, most of the time. Praying God wraps you up in His arms of love. You’re a good mama! Love the photos!
Monica says
Thank you so much for your encouragement, Barbie!

I LOVE that you’re taking the time to blog about your blessings! It is so easy to get overwhelmed by motherhood and what we don’t have or what we want that we forget to step back and look at everything we have been blessed with no matter how small. Thanks for the reminder! It’s definitely something that I need to do better in my life!
Monica says
It is so easy to get wrapped up in being busy that we forget to look at the blessings that are before us.

Love your photos, especially the chocolate hands 🙂
Monica says
Thank you, Kerry! Those chocolate hands were cute, but so hard to clean. 🙂

There’s another verse in Isaiah that says: ‘he gently leads those that have young.’ And I love that. I too feel alone sometimes, like I’m always too strict or too lax compared to my peers but I think we likely have a lot more in common with other mothers than we realize.
