As I read this passage from Psalm 17 this morning, the words “wondrously show your steadfast love” stood out to me.
That is exactly what God has done in my life…He has wondrously shown His steadfast love.
He has shown it through the love of my husband who listens to my complaints and loves me even on my really bad days.
He has shown it through the eyes of my children who see life in brand new ways.
He has shown it through family and friends who enrich my life.
He has shown it through the sun that shines so brightly.
He has shown it through His faithfulness.
He has shown it through the sacrifice He made on the cross so that I may life.
He has shown it through all the moments of my days…the moments that challenge and the moments that encourage me to keep going.
He has wondrously shown His steadfast love through all these blessings that I have captured and are naming and counting right now, here with you, and through the many blessings that I experience, but fail to see before me each day.
The blessings that I am counting this week are…
858. Delicious desserts that are called salads
I took this Apple Snickers Salad to our last Bible Study meeting at PWOC last week…yum!
859. science unit finally completed
It seems as if it took us all of forever to complete our science unit on Stems, but we finally did it. The girls do a “minibook” at the completion of each unit.
860. My boy announcing that he is “The Real Darth Vader!”
861. our van parked in a cleaned garage
It has taken us four months, but we’re finally completely unpacked. Cleaning the garage was our last big project and we had been putting it off because we thought it would be a hard and tedious one, but once we got started, it didn’t take long at all. We’re thrilled to have this done!
862. Bubbles, light sabers, sunshine and a backyard full of littles
863. Circle of girls
864. Sword and light saber left on the couch from yesterday’s play
865. Chocolate pick-me-ups
866. Kitchen counter full of dirty dishes needing to be cleaned
A sure sign that life has been a bit too busy and even overwhelming is a kitchen counter full of dishes needing to be cleaned. But I am learning that I can give thanks for this blessing because it symbolizes life…a full life lived in my home!
867. Date nights with my husband
We stopped to take pictures of the crocodiles in El Paso’s downtown area on our date Saturday night.
868. tricycle in the backyard
869. Blue Skies
