It has been a while since I’ve done a Blessings All Mine post.
Mainly because it has been a while since I’ve intentionally counted my blessings and wrote them down in my journal.
And, y’all, that makes me sad.
This season of the year is one in which many of us focus our thoughts on thanksgiving.
I want to be intentional during this season, yes, but I also want to live a life of intentionally focusing on the blessings all around me throughout the year.
Great is God’s faithfulness to me!
As the old hymn says, morning by morning, new mercies (and blessings) I see.
All I have ever needed, God’s hand has provided.
I don’t want to live life forgetting and taking for granted the graces and blessings of my everyday life.
In counting there are so many that are still left unnoticed.
In not counting, in not stopping to see the blessings that abound all around me, I neglect them all.
So, today, I am starting all over again…I opened my journal where I record my blessings to be counted and turned a new page today.
I looked back at the past couple of weeks to write down and count the many blessings that stood out to me. These just had to be counted today! And now I have a new goal to daily count and name these blessings bestowed by God. I have a renewed vision to see them all and to record them so that they will be remembered.
The blessings that I am counting this week are…
916. a scenic stop on our way to Albuquerque for the weekend
917. weekend away with my love
918. Panera bread, cinnamon crunch bagel, hot mocha and a good book
919. running again
920. peppermint tea waiting on me when I step out of the shower
921. lunch in my new “just for me” dishes
922. rest…much needed rest
923. daughter playing “haircut” in her daddy’s hair
924. a kitchen helper covered in powdered sugar
925. my mom visiting for two weeks
926. sweet sister hugs
927. candyland on Sunday afternoon
928. little boy in his Sunday best
